Custom orders
We love to work with our clients to design one-of-a-kind and bespoke engagement rings and other jewelry. Below, some commonly asked questions about our custom design process. To begin your own custom project, please contact us to book a free video or email consulation.
Many custom designs are completed in 6 - 8 weeks following final design approval, however can take longer. The time needed for a custom design can vary by its complexity, and gemstone sourcing needs. Your consultation will include estimated production times. Please specify any deadlines in your request.
We do not usually accept client stones, but will occasionally work with heirloom diamonds or with repurposing sentimental gems from other jewelry. Gem removal and setting carries risks, and we cannot be held responsible for damage to stones, as we cannot know their history. Recycling gemstones can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
We take great pride in sourcing quality diamonds and gemstones for our designs, and sourcing our own materials allows us to control for quality, durability, genuinity, strength, and ethical sourcing and cutting practices. We are happy to source a custom stone for your project.
We have a network of trusted suppliers to help us track down the perfect stone for your design. These suppliers meet our standards for ethical sourcing and high quality materials. From the perfect shade to custom cutting, it's all possible.
Every custom project is different! We strive to provide options throughout the design process to meet a range of price points. We welcome any budget and are excited to design a piece that fits your needs.
We are happy to work remotely with customers to create a custom piece. At this time, all of our consultation is remote.
Resizing, repairs & care
We take pride in hand crafting quality pieces that last. If your Emma Brooke piece breaks, or you would like to modify a piece to a new size, we are happy to assist. If you would like to request a repair or resizing, please contact us and we will guide you through the shipping process.
Repairs and ring sizing are available for Emma Brooke pieces, and for jewelry purchased elsewhere. Typical repairs or resizing fees begin from $50 USD, depending on the complexity of the project and amount of material needed. Please contact us to discuss your specific repair needs.
Matte or brushed finishes, and patinas such as blackened silver naturally wear off with time. We are happy to retouch finishes on Emma Brooke pieces at no cost. Contact us to send in your Emma Brooke pieces to have a finish re-applied.

Most jewelry items can be cleaned safely using water, soap, and a gentle toothbrush. Avoid using water on opal jewelry.

Gold filled materials have a thick, solid layer of gold mechanically bonded over a more affordable metal core. The thickness must be at minimum, 5% of the total weight of the material. Properly made, gold filled jewelry appears the same as solid gold at a fraction of the cost, and can easily last 10-30 years before showing wear. It is NOT gold plating, which is a microscopic layer that wears off quickly.

Many jewelers shy away from gold filled, because it’s quite difficult to work with. It’s a pain, but it’s worth it to me to offer low cost, higher quality alternatives.
Returns and exchanges
We are happy to accept exchanges or returns for store credit, with the following exceptions. Due to the made-to-order nature of our small business, returns are only available in the form of store credit.
○ Items must be undamaged, in their original, unworn condition and packaging.
○ Sale items, customized items, custom designs, international orders, and gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
○ Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
○ A 10% Restocking Fee will be applied to all returns.
If you would like to request a return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and we will guide you through the return process. Items returned without prior contact and approval will not be accepted.
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please notify us of any issues within 14 days of receipt by contacting us at hello@emmabrookejewelry.com.
Shipping policy
Domestic orders purchased though our site ship fully insured via USPS. International orders ship through Fedex and USPS International and are fully insured by us.
Customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes for the import, including US state use tax when not collected.
In stock items are generally ready to ship within 5 business days. For made to order and custom pieces, please see item description for estimated lead time. Please allow some flexibility in preparation times, as we are a small business, & doing our best!
